Prof. Dr. Samuel Filgueiras Rodrigues

I received my Ph.D. Degree in Mining and Materials Engineering from McGill University (2018) with research focused on thermomechanical processing of steels and alloys. I hold a Master’s Degree in Materials Engineering focused on the development and characterization of Materials from the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Maranhão, Brazil (2013) and a Bachelor/Licences degree in Physics from the Federal University of Maranhão, Brazil (2010). I am currently an Associate Professor at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Maranhão. I have experience in Materials Engineering and Metallurgy, with emphasis on Physical Metallurgy and Mechanical Engineering, Welding, Wear and Manufacturing Processes. I have eight years of industrial experience divided into two years of railroad maintenance, four years of pelletizing plant operation and two years of port operations.
